Promotional content: Philips expands its B Line of monitors with new interactive touch displays.

MMD, the leading display specialist and licensed partner for Philips monitors, presents new LCD touch monitors with SmoothTouch technology and an anti-glare coating: the Philips 172B9TL monitor (43.2 cm) and the Philips 242B9TL monitor (23.8 inches / 60.5 cm diagonal).

“In today's technology-driven world, touch displays are so highly valued that they can be used in many different industries. Wherever you look, you see devices based on touch technology: retail, transport, hospitality, education, healthcare and more. The global touch-display market is estimated to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 7.5% over the next seven years and reach USD 100.2 billion by 2027,” said César Acosta, product manager for Europe at MMD Monitors & Displays. “To achieve the highest customer satisfaction, we are expanding our family of touch monitors, which provide seamless and productive experiences.”

A durable interactive monitor with easy control The new monitors feature SmoothTouch, using projected capacitive 10-point touch technology for a fluid response. The glass coating protects against scratches up to 7H. This is especially important in retail, supermarkets, logistics and hospitality, where reliable and durable touch solutions are needed. The displays remain clear and bright thanks to the anti-glare coating, which reduces reflections without an extra film. The Philips monitors also meet the IP65 international protection class on the front, helping protect against splashes and dust.

Displays that improve productivity Both monitors have HDMI for universal digital connectivity, two USB 3.1 inputs for fast data transfer and a DisplayPort connection. For greater productivity, they can be used with a finger, a passive conductive-fabric or rubber stylus and some gloves. The new 17-inch and 24-inch touch monitors also offer a Philips SmartStand with a Z-shaped structure for smooth tilt, height adjustment and folding into ergonomic positions, plus a VESA mount for maximum flexibility.

Complete visual quality Getting a good digital image and comfortable productivity is essential for work and entertainment. Both new Philips touch monitors offer SmartContrast, which automatically adjusts colours and backlighting intensity for rich black detail and an excellent viewing experience. The Philips 242B9TL also provides Full HD 1920 x 1080 resolution for realistic colours. LowBlue mode and Flicker-Free technology reduce eye strain and image flicker.

Monitors without stands Alongside the new models, MMD announced stand-free versions of existing touch monitors: the 242B9T, 222B9T, 172B9T and 162B9T. These are a good choice for fixed installations using a VESA mount and give customers and partners more flexibility while reducing unnecessary equipment. The Philips 242B9TN, 222B9TN, 172B9TN and 162B9TN models are available at recommended retail prices of EUR 349, EUR 299, EUR 329 and EUR 249.

The new Philips 172B9TL and Philips 242B9TL are available at recommended retail prices of EUR 369 and EUR 399.
