Famous winners of The Game Awards 2021
Awarded one of the most prestigious awards in the gaming world.

The game industry has quite a few events that gamers look forward to every year - E3, PAX, Gamescom and others, but the most anticipated and the most "heavy" is definitely The Game Awards. And yesterday was this year's.
The entire event, which lasted almost four hours, can be seen in the video below. Since there were almost an absurd number of categories, we will mention here only three that we thought were the most important or the most interesting - Game of the Year, Players' Choice, and Best Story.
The international jury, which consisted of 103 independent journalists and influencers in the field of games, was most convinced by the action adventure It Takes Two, which received the title Game of the Year. It's a fairly happy combination of story and platforming, so something we weren't really used to in the past, because in these types of games it was usually enough to know that we had to travel from point A to point B. Not so in It Takes Two. You play as Cody and May, parents who decide to divorce, which greatly affects their daughter Rose, who makes two dolls that the parents miraculously inhabit. Your task is to guide Cody and May through a whole series of adventures, in which they are helped by Dr. Hakim's sweet love book, from which they cynically get hints on how to get out of all sorts of predicaments. But these hints are not just ordinary hints, but an analysis of their relationship with each other and how to turn the things that were the cause of their quarrels into something that will help them on their way to a solution. It sounds a little strange, but the game boasts extremely dynamic gameplay - in one chapter it's a classic 3D platformer, in the next it's a Diablo-type third-person shooter, and whatnot.

The players' choice award went to Halo Infinite, which is quite surprising given that the game was released only recently. But the players were clearly convinced by what the developers of 343 Industries achieved. There were some complaints about the relative dullness of the open-world solo mode, but the gameplay, which is really fun, cancels out this shortcoming. The multiplayer mode is a success after all... That the achievement is really worth a lot is also shown by the competition, as Infinito was opposed by the nominees Resident Evil Village, It Takes Two and Forza Horizon 5.

A good game is not only a matter of beautiful graphics and sound, but story is also important. And the year is the best in Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy. This award is also a surprise, as the favorites were It Takes Two and Life is Strange, whose story is definitely more emotional and tense, but therefore it is definitely the most elaborate in GoG. In the game, you play the role of Peter Quill, nicknamed "Starlord", who tries to get a group of mercenaries to do their job while keeping as little life as possible. It all sounds like nothing special, but the story is written with just the right amount of humor and plenty of moments where Quill gets to know the personal stories of his teammates and even helps them overcome their own fears, making the story something we can empathize with.

And now the whole event:
