The five best smartphone games to play at the beach

There are many things you can do on vacation, including lying in the shade and not playing some game on your phone. But not something complicated that requires full concentration and not one that we "immerse ourselves" in for hours and hours. Something  simple, so relaxing. If you're wondering what games to play on vacation, here are five of our suggestions.

1. Alto's Odyssey Slide your character across vast desert landscapes in this visually stunning dune surfing game. The game is easy to learn and relaxing to play. Jump, spin in the air and collect coins while relaxing music plays in the background. Its minimalist style and easy handling make it perfect for playing in the sun.

** 2. Candy Crush Saga** Although already a true classic, Candy Crush never disappoints. Simply moving colorful candies is fun and addictive, and the game does not require a continuous internet connection. It's ideal for short breaks between bathing and lounging, as you can play a few levels and put your phone down without worrying.

** 3. Monument Valley 2** This is a wonderful puzzle game in which you guide a mother and daughter through illusionistic mazes. With unique perspective twists and art style, the game offers a peaceful experience that can completely absorb you for a few minutes. It also serves as a relaxing meditation in the shade of the pine trees.

4. 2048 If you like logic games, 2048 is the perfect companion. By sliding the numbers around the grid, you try to reach the magic number - 2048. Because it's simple, it doesn't need sound and you can play it without the hustle and bustle and ideal for those moments when you're waiting for the waves to cool your feet.

5. Two Dots In this cute puzzle, you connect dots of the same color and solve increasingly difficult tasks. The colorful graphics are pleasing to the eyes, and the gameplay is just the right amount of challenge to make your time at the beach go by faster. Since each round only lasts a few minutes, you can often stop and resume it at any time.
