Is TV's Harry Potter "cooking"?
HBO Max and Warner Bros. they are reportedly looking for screenwriters for an action series about a popular wizard.
Harry Potter is obviously far from an idea that couldn't be coaxed into something else. After the eight movies based on the original book proposal, there were two that were supposed to take place before that. It is, of course, "Magical Animals", where the main positive is the so-called magizoologist Salamander Scamander, and the negative is Grindelwald. So we've already seen two films, the third is due out next year, and two more are reportedly planned after that.
So we have Harry's childhood, the time before that, but what about after? This question may be answered by the series that HBO Max and Warner Bros. are reportedly making. The project is currently in the phase of finding ideas and screenwriters, so nothing is known about it yet. Will he really deal with Harry as an adult? Will he "expand the action" while attending school at Hogwarts? Will it be a third? We don't know. All we know is that something is brewing…
