A new Ariel is coming

Yesterday, the first trailer of the new, this time "live" version of one of the most popular Disney cartoons, The Little Mermaid, was released. The film, which will hit the screens at the end of May next year, will star Halle Bailey as Ariel, Jonah Hauer-King as Eric, Melissa McCarthy as Ursula the witch, Daveed Diggs as Sebastian the crab, and Jacob Tremblay as Flounder the fish.

Below you can see the trailer, and then a comparison with the cartoon from 1989, from which it can be concluded that they will try to stick to it fairly faithfully.
