The scariest horror movie

The authors of the web portal BroadbandChoices repeated a "study" called "Science of scare", in which they tried to find out which horror movie is the scariest. And how did they determine that?

One of the signs that we are afraid is, of course, heartbeat. The higher he is, the more afraid we are. The authors of the study therefore gathered a group of volunteers, measured their heart rate "at rest", and then played them horror movies. Their heart rate was continuously measured while watching, and the average was calculated at the end.

And which one turned out to be the worst? A Nightmare on Elm Street (A Nightmare on Elm Street)?, Halloween (Halloween)? Friday the 13th (Friday the 13th)? But where... The movie Host from 2020 turned out to be the most terrible, which is about six friends who, during the lockdown (due to Covid, of course), hire a medium and conduct a session with him via Zoom. Of course, they get more than they bargained for... The film, which lasts less than an hour, was shot entirely via Zoom, and was released on the Shudder platform. Heart rate measurements showed that it averaged 88 beats per minute, which is 24 beats more than the "resting" state, two beats higher than last year's winner, Sinister, which recorded an average of 86 beats.

What about the rest? Below you can see the ranking of the twenty scariest movies and the heart rate they caused in the study.
